Artist Statement: Nature might often appear random and messy to us, but no matter if it's flowers, seeds, snowflakes or zooplankton - their structure is determined by symmetries, sequences of numbers and geometry. I am fascinated by discovering this mathematical logic within nature's creation, and my parchment brooches are both a token of this fascination and the fruit of my exploration of natural symmetry. Through meticulous bending and folding emerge delicate and translucent objects out of simple two-dimensional shapes, to be worn as jewelry, adored as sculptures and analyzed as intricate geometrical shapes.
