Artist Statement: Inspiration can come from anywhere at any time. Outdoor excursions are often the instigator of my creative process. I sketch, photograph, and collect objects from nature. The elements of gold, leather and coral create an interesting dialogue and balance in these pieces. The combinations possess a variety of dichotomies: precious versus non-precious materials and hard versus soft materials.
